Boston - New Hampshire-Maine-New Brunswick

Depending upon your starting point, take Routes 3, I-93, or I-95 south to Cape Cod. The Town of Sandwich is approximately 65 miles from Boston and usually takes 1hr and 20 minutes in moderate traffic. For those coming from the north of Boston, local experience tells that trying to avoid Boston proper does not always save time. The I-95 beltway can be more congested than the city and I-495 adds many more miles. Once you are south of Boston follow Route 3 (signs will say Cape Cod) to where it ends at the Sagamore Bridge. You will need to go around one of the infamous Massachusetts rotaries to get onto the Bridge and you are looking for Route 6. Those on the rotary have the right of way, so take your time and go around again if you are not sure of the exit spoke. The bridge takes you over the canal and onto Cape Cod. Follow Route 6 (the Mid Cape Highway) to Exit 3 -Quaker Meetinghouse Road. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Quaker Meetinghouse Road and go approximately 1 mile until it intersects with Route 6A. At Route 6A (by stop sign) turn right and drive 2 and 4/10 miles. The Spring Garden Inn will be on your right hand side and you are traveling east. If you get lost just call us at 508 888-0710 and we can talk you in from wherever you have drifted.

Northwest...                                        

Worcester - Vermont - Rochester - Toronto

Depending upon your starting point, take Routes I-91, or I-290 south onto I-90 east, or from the west get onto I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) and head east. The Town of Sandwich is approximately 80 miles from Worcester and usually takes 1hr and 30 minutes in moderate traffic. Take exit 11A off I-90 onto I-495 and head south to Cape Cod. In Wareham I-495 becomes 25 so do not become alarmed or exit the highway as this is the road you want. It will be the same 3 lane highway you have been driving on. From 25 south take exit 2, it will be marked Hyannis Route 6. If you miss this exit you will go over the Bourne Bridge and end up in Falmouth where we will probably need to send scouts after you. Once off the ramp at exit 2 follow the signs for Route 6 east and Hyannis. It will take you along the canal. In approximately 2 miles you will come to the intersection of Route 3 at the Sagamore rotary and bridge. You will need to go around your second infamous Massachusetts rotary to get onto the Bridge and continue on Route 6. Those on the rotary have the right of way, so take your time and go around again if you are not sure of the exit spoke. The bridge takes you over the canal and onto Cape Cod. Follow Route 6 (the Mid Cape Highway) to Exit 3 -Quaker Meetinghouse Road. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Quaker Meetinghouse Road and go approximately 1 mile until it intersects with Route 6A. At Route 6A (by stop sign) turn right and drive 2 and 4/10 miles. West and South...

Providence - NYC - Baltimore - New Jersey - Philadelphia

Depending upon your starting point, take routes that will lead onto I-95 north into Providence, RI. (From starting points west and south of New York City it is best to use I-287 and go around the city over the Tappan Zee Bridge to connect to I-95). The Town of Sandwich is approximately 60 miles from Providence and usually takes 1hr in moderate traffic. Once you enter Providence follow the signs to get onto I-195 east to Cape Cod. Take I-195 until is ends where you must choose between north to Middleboro on I-495 or south to Cape Cod on Route 25. Make sure you follow the signs to Route 25 and Cape Cod. Once on Route 25 south drive until you reach exit 2, it will be marked Hyannis Route 6. If you miss Exit 2 you will go over the Bourne Bridge and end up in Falmouth. Once off the ramp at exit 2 follow the signs for Route 6 East to Hyannis. It will take you along the canal on your right. In approximately 2 miles you will come to the intersection of Route 3 at the Sagamore rotary and bridge.
